The Fall Festival went okay yesterday. The weather was great! Cool and cloudy, with a gentle breeze. I sold a few items, but made several contacts that may lead into some larger ventures. And met a gentleman that lives just a bit north of here that makes pottery. I think I may have found my potter!
Need to work on getting the webpage a bit more together. Add some things and move other stuff around. I never seem to be happy with it. Always finding things I want or need to change. But I guess that's normal for a living document huh? Well I better be off and do some coding...stay tuned for more later!

UGH...I'm so freaking lazy! I still don't have anymore stuff done for Saturday. We didn't get home until after 7:00pm and then cooking & eating dinner it was after 8pm. I had a long hard day and I was exausted! I tried several times to sit down and work on labels but after spending all day in front of a computer that was the last place I could stand to be.
Soooo...I brought my templates and stuff with me to the office and I'll work on it here during breaks and lunch. I only need to do a couple so it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Then tonight (barring rain) I need to get my tent out, set it up and make sure it's all okay. Hopefully Rich will finish my new display tonight. Then that would leave me with finishing the lables on the new soaps and packing the car on Friday and then....
We'll be all ready for Saturday!!! YEAH!!!

I have a show this Saturday. It's a little fall festival. I'm sharing a booth with my mom and her jewelry. Hopefully it won't turn out like the last time we shared a booth...I nearly took over the whole table...lol! Rich is making me a new display. When it's done it's going to be really nice! I found a really pretty paint called antique rose to paint it. Guess I was drawn to the color cause I have a whole bedroom painted a similar color.
Anyway...I'm kind of excited about the festival. I only have two new soaps for this show. One is called Texas Yucca Blossom and the other is Kitchen Citrus Expresso. I had hoped to have several new BBW (bath & body works) scented soaps and products but the order I placed at the beginning of the month didn't arrive until yesterday, so those are out for this weekend. I guess I could still use several for rose and flower petal soaps and perfumes so they aren't totally out then. Anyway, I've been using the Kitchen Citrus Expresso soap in the kitchen lately, it really works wonders to get those onion and garlic smells from your hands. I made it with coffee and a blend of lemon, orange, and grapefruit essential oils (EO), as well as tossing in the expresso grounds for scrubbiness. I really like the way this one has turned out, I'm extremely pleased with it, as I hope my customers will be too! As for the Yucca Blossom, it's a one of a kind. I'm not sure if I will ever be able to pull off the scent blend again! I set out to make a simple soap using the catus apple juice I had recently harvested and rosemary EO. Well I didn't have enough rosemary to do the batch so I just started adding a bit of this and a touch of that....and ended up with something that smells darn close to the yucca blossoms that were blooming earlier this summer. If this soap ends up selling well, I'll have a friend help me reproduce the scent blend.
Okay, enough rambling...what's on the horizon for products? Well...new soap scents have arrived! CocoBanana (I think I'll call it Funky Monkey...lol!!!), BBW Cotton Blossom, Lime Margarita (mmmmmmmmm) BBW Moonlight Path, Southern Magnolia, Stargazer Lily (one of my most favorite flowers!) BBW Sweet Pea, BBW Waterblossom Ivy, BBW White Ginger and Amber, and lastly BBW Cucumber Melon. I am working on a new night cream & oil. I hope to have it ready by December/January. I'm going to be working on Lava Lips (lip gloss) for this weekends show so I will have more of them to offer soon. As well as new body butters and body scrubs.
As always if there is anything anyone is interested in or drop us a line at lhsh@texas.net and if we don't currently have the product we can make it! Special orders are ALWAYS welcome!
