Latest Updates
Well the domain is still a bit of a mess. Didn't really have the $80-$160 to get it fixed right then and there, but I was assured that it was be available again on the 20th. Well it's the 22nd, and it's still not available. (sigh) Just have to keep working on that one.
In other news, going to have a major soap-a-thon this weekend/week. Going to try to push over 15 batches through. I'll let you know how I do.
Going to have alot of new stuff coming out soon. Scent pellets, christmas fragrances, stocking stuffers, all kinds of stuff. Should prove to be a very jolly time 'round here. (fingers crossed)
Well, y'all be sure to stop by and drop us a line at the soap haus, we'd love to hear from ya!

Laguna Madre
For the longest time I've wanted an oceanie soap. Something that will take me to the Texas coast with out the 4-6 hour drive. I wanted that crisp, salty ocean breeze. It took some time, but I think I've found it. And with the addition of a little seaweed I think it's just about perfect. I tried the latest in my Texas line this morning in the shower. OH MY GAWD! I LOVE IT! It was almost like walking the beaches. Very crisp, clean, a little salty, and just a touch of green.
I was almost tempted to play hookie, throw on the bikini and spend the day basking in the sun.
But alas, reality set back in (deep sigh). So, if you are wanting something to lift your spirits, or just up for trying something new, give Laguna Madre a try.

Latest & Greatest
Well we had a great time at the Austin BBW Bash. It was so nice meeting everyone. I don't know about the rest of the bash activities, but we certainly had fun in the vendor room.
I finally got around to using the Cotton Candy fragrance I got a few weeks ago. Used it in a scrub....mmmmmmmm boy does it smell GOOD! It just might be one to def keep for a while. I can't wait to use it in a soap...I'm thinking a pink and blue swirl. You know...to look like cotton candy we got at the fair (rodeo for me) as a kid.
Let see...what else is knew. The Witches Brew was a great hit at the BBW Bash. It's really a great unisex scent. A woody oriental spicy blend of cinnamon leaves and patchouli twigs, with to me, a touch of musk and deep undertones of vanilla.
We've also got fresh batches to our Papa's Soap and Mayan Treasures, so for those of you who are big fans of those...grab them while you can. The Papa's are now in full size bars like all the rest.
Hope all is well with everyone and that you've had a great holiday weekend.

New Soaps
We've got new soap curing in the soap haus this week. MorningStar and Witches Brew. MorningStar moves so fast I don't think I've even got it on the website. But we'll have to change that! It's a peppermint soap with a good helping of peppermint leaves mixed in. It's a great morning kick starter! Witches Brew if a new fragrance for us. It's a deep musky scent. Which has a touch of Patchouli and a touch of Oriental Musk with a hint of floral. I think the next batch I do with it will be a swirl. But this one is just plan creamy-white...for now, unless it changes on it's own...we'll see. We also have a plain peppermint soap, but it's not behaving right, so I'll have to set it on the back shelf and make a new batch. All of these should be ready to go out within the next week or two (depending on the weather). Although, we do have an AC in the soap haus now, so it will def help with speading up the drying time. YEAH!!!! I know, I'm getting so spoiled!
Bath Bombs & Bullets are fizzing up the test tub as of late. This things are great! I've bought some from other places that claim to be "home of the bath bomb or the bath bomb queen" I wasn't happy with them. They just sat on the bottom of the tub and fizzed. I wanted explosiveness! I want dance! I want a show! Well, that we got! Our bath bombs dance, and float on top of the water while doing their thing. Unlike others, our bombs are a full 5 oz. We've kept them in two halves so that you can choose for your self if you want to use it all or only part of it. You can even break a half in half. And for when you just want a kick your bath up a bit, the bullets are the perfect shot for you bath to give it just the right touch to make you feel oh so wonderful. And the best thing about our bath bombs, we don't use fillers or filler oils. Nope, we go straight to the good stuff. We only use shea butter in our bombs and bullets. I'm SO happy with the way these turned out it's really hard to stay out of the tub!
So stop by the soap haus and pick up a few of these. We have many different fragrances to choose from, and we even have 6-packs for those that just can't decide! LOL!!!

Lots of new stuff!
Boy! It has been an exciting week at the soap haus. We got in lots of new supplies that will allow us to create tons of new products. Lots of things that we've had on the back burner can now come to life. We got in some lovely mowah butter, great for getting rid of wrinkles, and some wonderful avacado butter. MMMMM...add those to the kokum, sheas, cocoa butter, and virgin coconut and we've got a wonderfully moisture ladden bath bar a comin'!
We also have supplies to make more of those wonderful bath bombs you all love so much. Boy! I can hardly make them fast enough. Remember! No cheap filler oils here, we make them with Shea butter only. Yes it's a bit more $$ for us, but you know you love the difference! Plus we now have a new line of colorants so we can make those bombs in a new rainbow of colors!
Stop by the soap haus, we've been making lots of changes to the web pages and getting a lot of the products that had kind of been secret to all but the "in" shoppers on the web for all to see. We'll be adding lots more as we can get the pages written.
So y'all stop by and see us now!

Quick Note...
Do the happy dance!!! Bath Bombs are exploding all over the soap haus!!! YEAH!
I know, it's about time! They will be hitting the web soon, so watch for them and order order order!!! They are a blast! And I'm making them BIG, but keeping them so that you can choose if you want to use the WHOLE thing or just half of it. Some times I have to remember that not everyone has a HUGE tub like I do. (I wonder if I could have written that off as a business expense...hhhuuummmm....)
Anyway, stop by and see what we've got brewing or drop us a line sometime, we'd love to hear any ideas or thoughts you might have.

Good morning all!
Things are really beginning to pick up at the Soap Haus. Almost have visions of quitting my "real" job. But need to money to much to support my soaping habit. Which allows me to bring new and more stuff y'alls way! YEAH!!! And to be honest, I'm kind of liking the new job and the direction potential it has. So for now, I'll keep it...and consider it my "second" job. LOL!
In the coming days we will be working on doing some major revamps on the website. If you haven't visited lately, please do stop by. Things will be changing greatly, so stop often to see all the new stuff. And please do place a vote for us for the Top 50 Handmade Soap sites on the internet. We are currently at number 2 but my goal is to hit number one.
There are new soaps coming. Laguna Madre will be hitting the soap pot soon. As well as Texas Rose, Spring Rains, and in our "petal" soaps we will be offering "Leaves." Different from our Fall Leaves, these are green and like a rose leaf. They will be scented with an herbally green fragrance with just a hint of a light floral.
We'll be getting the salt and sugar scrubs up on the web as well and many many of our other luxury items.
Well I'm off to the creative world!
Y'all stop by and spoil yourselves rotten!

Well, it's been a while since I've done an update. Things have been moving pretty quickly lately, well, for the last 5 months or so. There have been big changes in my regular job, you know, they one that helps support my soap habit. Not that it can't support it's self, but it's just like any other adiction, extra $$ always lets you have more. But then, just like any other addition too, you then have to do more to keep up the rush.
I've left Texas Medicaid, not that I had much choice, they outsourced (contracted out) the client hotline that I was a policy lead for. I'm now at the state EMS office coordinating the education (200 or so classes) for the yearling conference. It's a big change but I'm enjoying it.
The newest additions to the home front have been a flock of chickens. 12 pullets (to grow into hens) and 1 cockrel (to be rooster). We added them not only for the fresh eggs but to help hopefully cut down on the number of bugs and grasshoppers we've been plagued with the last few years. Hopefully I'll be able to get more herbs to survive to use in soaps and other products.
The holiday season was busy, could hardly keep up. but that's a good thing.
What's to come. Well, more soap of course! And we are currently planning to have a booth at the 2004 Republic of Texas Rally. So if y'all are planning to be a the rally, be sure to stop by and say hi!
Well, off to figure out what soap I need to do next!

I am stressed. It's been a while since I've been able to make any soap. I need to make soap! I have several new fragrances I need to check out and just haven't been able to do it. I even have orders for several of the new one (too cool huh).
I found a new potiential supplier that could totally change our life here at the soap haus. I am awaiting some samples. I can't wait!!!!!!!!! Mom's even interested in joining the biz.
Plan to make tons-o-soap this weekend so I will let you know how it turns out!

The Fall Festival went okay yesterday. The weather was great! Cool and cloudy, with a gentle breeze. I sold a few items, but made several contacts that may lead into some larger ventures. And met a gentleman that lives just a bit north of here that makes pottery. I think I may have found my potter!
Need to work on getting the webpage a bit more together. Add some things and move other stuff around. I never seem to be happy with it. Always finding things I want or need to change. But I guess that's normal for a living document huh? Well I better be off and do some coding...stay tuned for more later!

UGH...I'm so freaking lazy! I still don't have anymore stuff done for Saturday. We didn't get home until after 7:00pm and then cooking & eating dinner it was after 8pm. I had a long hard day and I was exausted! I tried several times to sit down and work on labels but after spending all day in front of a computer that was the last place I could stand to be.
Soooo...I brought my templates and stuff with me to the office and I'll work on it here during breaks and lunch. I only need to do a couple so it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Then tonight (barring rain) I need to get my tent out, set it up and make sure it's all okay. Hopefully Rich will finish my new display tonight. Then that would leave me with finishing the lables on the new soaps and packing the car on Friday and then....
We'll be all ready for Saturday!!! YEAH!!!
